I am actually going to be posting the birthday posts in several posts, because there was so much stuff going on, that the post would be way too long to do the whole thing in one post! So here is the first post for the big Mickey Mouse Birthday party that I put on for Lucas’ FIRST Birthday!!
Let’s start with the invitations I made!
It was a card stock invitation made with the Cricut Expression. It was a black Mickey Mouse head shape with a red “pants” sewn on pocket. It was embellished with a yellow “L” with white shadowed backing and two white buttons. This was the base of the invitation. The information sheets were inserted into the pocket.
This is what the insert inside the invitation looks like! It was made to look like a ticket. I used a stamp to create the invitation information look.
Here is the picture of the insert by itself. And since there was not a large area for information to be provided on the insert, but located a Disney font and a Mickey font which I used to create a separate insert with extra information included.
I also created an optional insert, and since I had already created and gotten the invites ready to mail out, I did not use this one. It was actually used as an alternate invitation because I did not make enough of the Mickey Invitations. I was several short. If I were to make them again, or make them for a friend, I would most likely use this insert in a tri-fold manner.
I had so much fun making these! I actually may be starting an ETSY shop of my own soon to sell these! I really enjoy things like this!

Very nice invitation! You did a great job!

How fun! My daughter had a Mickey Mouse 2nd birthday just a few weeks ago. However, my invites weren’t NEARLY as fancy! Following along from voiceBoks!
